China Rights Record is an independent human-rights news and evidence archive. It documents China-related events that may affect internationally recognized rights, preserves sources that may disappear, and tracks what happens next.
Document facts, preserve evidence, and keep a checkable public record of voices and material that may be deleted, obscured or forgotten.
We examine how Chinese state and party institutions, public policy and related actions affect expression, belief, association, privacy, due process and other rights. We do not equate the Chinese government with China, Chinese culture or Chinese people.
We trace original sources and check identity, time, place, imagery and documents. Allegations, official responses, confirmed facts and our analysis are labelled separately. A social post, anonymous claim or edited clip is not treated as established fact.
We remove unnecessary personal data and do not expose private addresses, contact details or information that could endanger subjects, families, witnesses or sources.
